She's Finished

Well there she is all finished. Im realy pleased with her , since it's only the second thing ive ever sewn i dont think ive doen to badly (even if i say so myself)
She now has pride of place in the bay window down stairs. Im now on the look out for some other project to sew, but ive lots to keep me going whilst i find it.

Calendar

Yesterday I spent the day round Gail's designing a calendar for the ladies on a Monday's glue and stick day. It seemed a bit to easy , just hope they think so when we come to do it. I used last months Jenni Bowlin kit , I love these kits always so good to use on a project as everything always matches and goes together so well. It's not my normal grungy style but im very pleased with it.I think I will make soem more of these for xmas presents. This one has not dates in the months as im not sure if im going to use it this year or next.

Stamp CJ's

Im now up to date with the 2 Cj's im doing.Next one is due to be posted on the 20th , so a couple of days off and then i will do that one. At least i know what i want to do with it and i think that's half the battle sometimes.

Swaps

Been busy doing things for swaps and remembered to take some photo's this time.
So first is the little tin I made for an altered tin swap im in on UkStampers. It looks rather cute and i would have liked to keep it , but off it's gone to a new home.


The other was an altered coaster swap and it was to be made into a caddy sort of effect.I covered 5 coasters and then cut the middles out of 2 and put in some asetate images.Looks better in real life , but then dont most things LOL.

Busy

Just for a change LOL im busy doing lots of CJ's and other odd n ends and thought i would remember to take photo's and upload on to here.
The book and purse have been made as a thank you to a friend , her name is Babs if you hadn't guessed. I made it buy first cutting the letters out on the cricut and then cuting round them on the chipboard .Used the Bind It All to fasten all together and covered with Daisy D papers.



The Purse kit is a 7 gypsies kit and i used the same papers. Hope she likes it , im pleased with how it's turned out.

How's she doing

Im sure you are all wanting an update on how my doll is coming along , so here is the lastest picture . Im realy pleased with how she is looking and can not wait to have her finished . I think prabably two more sessions and she will be sitting pretty on my lounge bay window.
Then all i need to do is come up with another project , which with so many ideas in my head all the time , wont take long.
Just putting the finishing touches to the next Alter That kit and also trying to get upto date with the cj's im in at the moment, I promise to take photo's of them and get them on here for all to see.

Altered Bunny Swap

So this is what the cute version and pattern i bought look like.

And this is my version for an Altered Bunny Swap im hosting on UkScrappers , im sure it not quite what the designers of the original ever had in mind .

The doll is coming on fine and i shall upload pictures of her tomorrow for you all to see.
Off to Belfast on Thursday , which is Olivia's 8th Birthday , her and Pete are coming with me , so that's nice and we get a few days together there to do lots of sight seeing.
This week end was rather busy , with family and friends round Saturday afternoon/night celebrating Olivia's birthday. Then Sunday found use at Northallerton swimming baths with 20 other kids for her other Birthday party with her little friends. I think everyone had a great time , i know i did , i just love the wave machine they have there , didn't get to go down th ebig slide , toooooo busy with kids going up and down it .Olivia realy enjoyed herself.

She's got legs

Well she has now , ive finished sewing them on tonight ready for making her arms tomorrow. Gail keeps trying to upset me by telling me the hands are going to be so hard and fiddlie and that's what were doing tomorrow, great i cant wait !!!!!!

Other news..... well last assignment was emailed last week and today Babs emailed me to say ive finsihed ,so im now fully qualified to teach adults ........yippee thought it was all over but there's talk about us doing a Cert Ed... like i say thought it was all over but thinking about it i will prabably do it , need a couple of months off to just teach rather than teach and write about it.
Another bit of news is that ive started tap dancing , yes your read that right tap dancing.Sharon , Gail and I went and we loved it , well Sharon and I did , Gails still trying to get her breath back so she can deside if she did or not. Anyway i will be there this week.

Now Stuffed

Homework set by Gail is now done the body is sewn up and she is stuffed , here are the photo's to prove it.
Tomorrow im back round Gails and were doing a bit more.
Had a busy weekend , went to the Middlesbrough crop Saturday then up to the Metro Centre and bought Oliviaa new bed , which gets delivered in 3 weeks. We could not find a wardrobe so Peter is going to build her a walk in one at one side of the room. That's going to keep him ebusy for teh next couplel of weeks.

So what am i up to well ive started to make my Jan Horrox doll with help from Gail as im not good with these sewing instructions lark.

The Pinny

Hope everyone had a lovely xmas and are now looking forward to New Year.Well finally I used the sewing machine and with a little help from Gail made this pinny.I then promised to show it to everyone and said that I would wear it and nothing else .So here you are.

Shrines

The next kit out will be the January 2008 kit due for postage around the 1st Jan.

The theme of this kit is SHRINES and as usual there is a project (see picture for project) with full written instructions and colour pictures , everytjhing you need to make the project is in the kit plus lots more.

The project can easily be turned into a lovely xmas decoration. Here are the pictures.

Getting closer

Christmas that is , times just flying and i have sooooooooooo much to do .Over a month since i have blogged , i think i feel a new years resolution coming on ..........
Off to Durham tonight to grab a pizza with Debbie , Gail , Andrea and Claire(ginger).Claire's in teh area for an interview so what more excuse do you need to get together.
Been busy making stuff , advent calendar and cards , will have to post some piccy's for all to see.
Next kit is due out so that also needs sorting and then i can just sit back and enjoy xmas , sounds easy doesn't it LOL

Chrismas ............. well not quite

But ive started getting stuff done. I'm in a christmas card swap , christmas inchies swap , christmas ATC swap , advent swap and stocking swap feeeeeeeeew that's all i think .So i have the 10 cards made , tonight im going to do the inchies and i have the ATC's nearly finished also.But i want to do lots more for the advent and stocking swap and then some odd n ends for myself .
Last year i made a christmas banner for the arch in the living room using Basic Grey chrismas papers and this year i have made a chrismas tree hanger to match. Here the pictures of it.

Next Kit - The christmas one

The kits all sorted , what with the postal strike the Artgilrz stuff took an age to get here. So her's a little sneak look at it .
I know it's a bit ealy christmas but as this is the nearest kit to christmas i do , i need to get it sorted early. Dont you just love these cone kits , im thinking of doing the witch for a halloween party thank you im sure she would love it .

October already

Realy behind with this blog at the moment , and ive been up to loads so should get some piccy's on here .
Benn to 2 scrapbooking reatreats these last 2 weekends. First was to Gibside in Newcastle and the second up to Scotland with the girls from Scrapad.I only realy knew Debbie and had another 12 people to meet that i had just met online , WOW what a great bunch of people we had a fantastic time .
Will post piccy's and more over the weekend.

Busy

No posting for 2 weeks , bad blogger. Been sooooooo busy with Peter been away i dont function well around the house without him .But Livvy and i have coped LOL.
News well i sold my Craft Robo just couldn't get away with it and bought a Cricut Expressions , which i am rrealy pleased with.
Peter is home today so that's nice and im realy looking forward to it , only thing is im away this wekend at Gibside scrapbooking , not that i mind realy , loads and loads of scrapping will get done and a bit of chatting.

The bike lessons

So im sure you all want to know how i am getting on. Well a couple of words will sum it up , lets start with CRAP , totally SHIT , and STRESSED.
The 1st lesson great up until the last 15 mins and i came off , sorry i PANICED and came of .So this week i had talked to myself and thought everything would be ok .Got there and went through safety no problems , then on the bike start it up and off round the yard , fine up until the narrow part (which is where i came off last week ) and i decided to panic. Things just went down hill from here , so in the end i went for an hours ride on the back of one of the instructors bikes ( i just love riding pillion(sp)) .I have now decided to stop learning until i can sort the stress out and feel calmer about it .Peter been away for 3 weeks has me pretty stressed.I am also away a lot of the weekends coming up , 2 weekend scrapbooking retreats and then a weeks holiday at half term ,THEN i will go back to the lessons .I WILL NOT LET IT BEAT ME .

Still swapping

I just love the swapping world and have been doing some on the Gimme Your Stuff website. Fancy getting stuff from other countries , then pop over to the site and sign up. It's great fun. Here are a few pictures of stuff i have sent(the paperchase bag picture) and stuff i have recieved (the sweets and Olivia eating pasta from Italy)


But now i have found a new swapping site Swap Bot and i have just taken part in my 1st swap so im now waiting to see what turns up.I am also down to do a few more so i will let you know how i get on.

Vroom Vroom

Started my motorbike course yesterday , was so nervouse and i dont think i got over it all the time i was there .
Riding pillion is a breeze , where as driving it yourself is going to take me a while to master.But i am back next Saturday for another 3 hourse. I will get ther eventually , just seems so much to remember at the moment ...........BRAKE WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND 1ST ...........then brake with your right leg brake ..........NOW PULL IN THE CLUTCH WITH YOUR LEFT HAND ...........and put your left foot on the floor as you stop . BUT do it all at once ........................Vroom Vvroom

When i arrived home at dinner time there was a small parcel waiting for me and when i opened it this beautiful Dolly Bead was inside it , i had not ordered it , it was a wonderful Thank You from Joanne for the advent swap we did last year , i dont want to embarras her to much but ive never had this sort of thing happen before , and it took my breath away , how can i thank you

Long weekend

Had a lovely long relaxing weekend in Northumberland over the bank holiday , got a day on the beach , and had a great time
Peter's parents popped up on the Saturday and then on the Sunday morning Olivia and her new friend Megan took part in the sports day going on on the caravan site .Megan won the skipping race but Olivia didn't win any , she wasn't bothered as they were having so much fun
Just booked a week in Leek for the October school holidays all i need to do now is talk mum and dad into coming with us.

Back from Holiday

We are now back from a great 2 week holiday , 1 week in Holland and 1 in France .
Stayed in Paris so went to Disney , Olivia had been when she was 4 years old so did not remember too much about it .She had a great time and i will post some pictures when i down load them .We also had a day out in Paris doing all the site seeing things.Holland was great with realy hot weather , so i have a sight sun tan .Again I will get some pictures on here .
Before i went away i promised pictures of the lovely papers Gail and i made one afternoon , so here you are .

Next Kit

The sneeky peek at Septembers kit is now on the website , so that's another thing sorted before we go on out jollies
Yes tomorrow we go to Holland for a week then back over to Paris for another week
and am i looking forward to it , like you would not believe
So i might get on a computer over there but if i dont se you when i get back .......................................................

Inspiration

Hit at 10 oclock last night , rather late but there you go. Started on a CJ I am in which needs doing and posting to Cherry , Just finished it , here it is .
So i thought with all these ideas going on i'll get loads done , not to be i had left my paper trimmer at Gail's and my other one is now living in the caravan.
Anyway poped round this morning and picked it up alongf with some lovely stamps we had ordered from USA and had arrived yesterday.
So this afternoon Olivia has a friend over to play and im playing with bit's of paper creating .

6) I dont like mobile phones and would not have one if it wasn't for work.

Off to Alvescot tomorrow tutoring for the week.Equality with just a class of 12 so not too bad and i hope to get an essay written whilst im there .
Olivia's temp has come down but she's still not eating , no more sick so that's good .But it turns out that Mark's partners 2 kids have CHICKEN POX and Olivia's symptoms look very like the start . So we will just have to keep an eyey out for spots

What i started in Holland

Thought it was about time i uploaded things i started making in Holland at Scrapaganza and have now finished .
So today it's the Rusty Pickles Journal that's done and dusted .Realy liked this class was a double one , only draw back was the speed it was done at , which was super fast , even i got stressed at the time .
Pleased with the way it turned out and i no longer have it as it made a lovely present for a 50th wedding aniversary

Dollie beads

I dont have one yet but hope tio get one in the near future and start collecting these great beads.However in the mean time i wanted to let people see these new ones that Jaq has made this week she is hoping to raise money for the eve appeal,www.eveappeal.org.uk which raises funds for gynaecological cancer research. It's an appeal close to her heart, so she has made some very special dollies in teal green, the colour associated with ovarian cancer. 10% of all sales over the next week will be donated to the eve appeal.

I have now sent the shrine off i made for a swap on ukscrappers so i can put a picture of it on here . I was very pleased with it and would have liked to keep it for myself but realy have enough stuff round the house and not enough time to make another one for the swap .I do hope Mindy likes it.

Been very busy and have not had time to get on here , what with the new website and going to Scrapaganza in Holland , ive never stopped .

I organised an ATC kit swap on Ukscrappers the other month and have been having a play with the kits this week .So her are my finished 1st five.
Only a week to go until our trip to Holland scrapbooking , realy looking forwrad to this therefore this week is going to drag. May not as i am pretty busy and off work as the kids are off school.

Noni Bags

Yes i've picked up my old knitting needles and made myself a lovely Noni bag.It's black and going to have a black and white set of handles with a black and white feather trimmed top. Well i say made it's knitted and felted and now all it needs is the lining , trim and handles added. So Hannah has kindly offered to do the lining for me , im not good with the sewing machine .In exchange im going to knit her a nice pink Noni bag.Well with that one knit i desided to do another one different style and colour , browns and creams this time.That's now knit so im starting another tonight whilst i watch The EuroVision Song Contest.Olivia has never seen it and wants to so we are going to get a take away , put on outr PJ's and have a laugh. This is not Noni bag but a different make very fluffy and sparkly this one. Keep watching as pictures will come soon.
